startobe07 you clearly know nothing about tennis if u think professional tennis players don't use a closed stance! The closed stance is the preffered stance of an agrrssive attacking style of play as body weight is shifted forward onto the leading foot! open stance is only used when there is limted time to get the feet in place and if the player is on the run and reaching for a wide ball! so u might want to sort ur own tennis knowledge out before u throwing comments that are complete rubbish!
where is the OPEN STANCE?? NO ONE in professional tennis playes with a closed stance! … how bad is this? If you talk so much in regards topspin, talking about an open stance is much more important than talking about "bending your knees".
@thelockmyster she has sexy legs tho!
i like this video a lot. it shows great infomation .
where is the underspin (slice) forehand
thanks for the video, it helped out a lot since their arent many left handed forehand videos
@GueorguiJoukov well yes, it's hard to describe how to do it… and my english isn't good enouhg… but thanks for the comment
@SergeyMelnik
Many disagree with you and it is perhaps due to the words you use to describe the idea – it sounds really imaginative and more of subjective matter than an objective observation.
Nonetheless, do not take my comment as a disagreement as it is actually a proof, a logical demonstration based on physics of dynamics, which supports your idea of wrist movement. It is little, not voluntary, but it still is a movement.
In the end, the flexion point allows the longer part to come forward as it drifts when the trcuk makes the sudden charp turn.
With tennis, the idea involves a z axis as well; it's not only bidirectional as it also happens in the other axis. The dynamic inertia carries the hand forward and bend your wrist.
A good shot is all about driving the racket upward and forward; no wrist action at all – not even keeping it locked. It's a wrist REACTION, not an actual action which occurs here.
@SergeyMelnik
The wirst action you roughly describ is due to the accelration and rotation combined. It does whips around a bit, but it is not a conscious movement. To get the picture, imagine a semi with something huge behind, like a gaz tank or some commercial stuff. The longer, the most obvious the physics principles will come to be to your mind; 18 wheels is long enough though.
Have it speed up in straight line and then suddenly turn. What happens with the load behind?
OK guys. If you don't like my opinion, I'm going to have to SHOW you that the topspin forehand is… It's what I think it is… If you don't agree, show me why…
I also use the western grip hersh94 I was trying to say that the rist flips behind you when you start the shot. And when you're about to hit the ball, along with the acceleration of the arm, the rist comes from behind and you add more power and spin if you want to the ball…
Lol i would love to see ur wrist produce as much topspin as one of my shots using (me using a western grip of course;P) *btw dont break ur wrist now ;P
its a cross between eastern and SW actualy ;p
hate to be picky but her balance sucks she needs to pivot on the back foot, poor balance = poor shot
Eastern is good enough for Federer who has the best forehand of all time so…
I don't think I need a semi-western. I hit topspin forehands great with my normal eastern.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree. I think that the topspin forhand and backhand comes from the rist. Please, if someone shows interest, I could upload a video to demonstrate it…
just one comment, it would be good if they showed an example with a right hander as well, because i found trying to relate to the left handed example a bit difficult.
her forehands a lil different from usual but i c how this works
no prob =)
top spin is not for beginners. It just gives more margin for error compared to a flat shot. Plus top spin shots can be controlled more easily to push opponents back and fore . plus u can force opponents into making errors easily when u have consistent top spin stokes
in my area the only people that play use topspin. sucks for beginners to get into the groove
the girl has windshield wiper forehand
this video has useful information
very good video
